The rise of a graffiti pioneer, from streets to museums

Growing up in Queens, New York, Lin Felton, known as QUIK (American, born 1958), began tagging in his neighborhood in the 1970s. By the 1980s, he had become one of the few graffiti artists featured in art galleries and museums.
Throughout his career, QUIK's artistic style matured to include ironic commentary on social, political, and personal themes, while maintaining his personality and spirit in graffiti.
